ArtCheck Register
Register your asset
ArtCheck is a service designed for individuals who have experienced the theft or loss of an artwork or valuable item. By registering the asset, it is entered into a monitoring system that tracks the art and collectibles market, with the aim of identifying any attempted sales.
All information is handled confidentially and used for targeted checks. If the item reappears on the market, the owner is notified and supported through the necessary steps to verify the situation and facilitate its recovery.
FAQ – Artcheck Register
How can I report a stolen or lost item?
You can register your item directly online through the dedicated reporting section. Alternatively, you can access your personal area to manage your registrations. For more complex situations, such as ownership disputes or items entrusted to third parties, you can contact the Artcheck team for direct support.
What types of items can I register on Artcheck?
Artcheck allows you to register a wide range of assets, including artworks, antiques, jewelry, watches, musical instruments, and collectibles. Any uniquely identifiable item can be added to the system.
What kind of reports are included in the database?
The database includes stolen and lost items, as well as assets involved in legal disputes, financial claims, or authenticity concerns. Items from private or institutional collections can also be registered for monitoring purposes.
What happens after I register an item?
Once registered, the item is monitored over time through market checks. If a potential match is identified, the owner is promptly notified and supported in the verification process and next steps.
How long does an item remain registered?
The item remains in the database until it is located or the claim is resolved. Monitoring continues over time with no fixed expiration.
Does Artcheck monitor items that are not stolen?

Can entire collections be registered?
Yes. ArtCheck offers dedicated solutions for structured collections, both public and private. This is particularly useful when items are distributed across multiple locations or entrusted to third parties.
What are the service costs?
Registration involves a small initial fee per item. Additional costs apply only if the item is successfully identified and are related to recovery and support activities.
What happens if my item is found?
If a registered item is identified on the market, Artcheck will contact you immediately. You will receive all available information and support throughout the verification process and any necessary recovery actions.
Can I register an item involved in a dispute or used as collateral?
Yes. Artcheck allows the registration of items linked to ownership disputes or used as collateral. This ensures you are notified if they are offered for sale and can take appropriate action to protect your rights.
